GridPlay Gets an Upgrade: Perfect Bonus, Achievements, Streaks & a Global Leaderboard

GridPlay just got a serious upgrade — and if you've been playing all season, you'll notice some of it the moment you log in. We've turned on a stack of features that were half-built or promised but not yet live, rebalanced scoring so a flawless weekend finally pays off, and laid the groundwork for a much bigger race-weekend experience. Here's everything that changed.

The Perfect Prediction bonus is live — and the whole season has been rescored

Nail every single call in a weekend — all three qualifying positions, the full race podium in order, the safety car, and the sprint winner on sprint weekends — and you now bank a +25 point Perfect Prediction bonus on top of your normal score. That takes a flawless regular weekend to 91 points and a flawless sprint weekend to 101.

Because we wanted this to be fair to everyone who's played all year, we didn't just switch it on going forward — we rescored every race of the 2026 season. If you hit a perfect weekend earlier in the year, those 25 points have already been added to your total and your league standings. A few positions on the leaderboard have shifted as a result, so it's worth a look.

Achievements actually unlock now

Achievements have been part of GridPlay's design for a while, but they were never actually being awarded. That's fixed. All 13 achievements are now live, and — like the scoring — we've awarded them retroactively, so anything you've already earned this season is sitting in your profile right now.

They range from the everyday to the legendary:

• Welcome Aboard — make your first prediction.
• Dedicated Fan — predict five different races.
• Podium Prophet — call a full race podium correctly three times.
• Pole Position Expert — nail pole position five times.
• Consistency King — score points in 15 races in a row.
• Crystal Ball — land a perfect prediction three races running.
• The Oracle — bank 1,000+ points in a season.

...and more to discover. Rarities run from common all the way up to legendary, so there's plenty to chase for the rest of the year.

Streaks are now tracked

Every race you predict in a row builds your streak. Miss a race and it resets to zero — so there's now a real reason to keep showing up weekend after weekend. Your current streak appears on your profile, and it feeds achievements like Consistency King. Some of you are already on double-digit streaks. Don't be the one who breaks it during the summer break.

The global leaderboard is finally here

We've always talked about "climbing the global rankings" — now you actually can. The new Global Leaderboard ranks every GridPlay player by total season points, with perfect predictions as the tiebreaker, and it highlights exactly where you sit. You'll find it in the main navigation.

Inviting friends to your league is now one tap

Private leagues are more fun with more people in them, and getting friends in used to mean reading out a six-character code. Now every league has a shareable invite link. Tap Invite, copy the link or fire it straight into WhatsApp, and anyone who follows it joins your league automatically after they sign up. The code still works too — but the link is much easier to spread.

Predict qualifying and the race on your own schedule

Predictions used to lock all at once before first practice. Not anymore. Your qualifying picks now stay open until qualifying starts, and your race podium and safety-car call stay open right up to lights out on Sunday. So you can watch practice before calling pole, and see the grid before calling the podium. Each section locks on its own — giving you a reason to come back across the whole weekend.

This is the first of several updates. We're working on making race weekends far more engaging — live provisional scoring so you can watch your points come in during the race, qualifying results scored the moment they're in on Saturday, and quick race-day bonus picks. We'll announce those as they land.
